About Pam

  • Born and raised in Pottstown, PA
  • 1977 Graduate of St Pius X High School
  • 1988 Graduate of the IBEW Local 380 Apprenticeship Program- Industrial & Commercial Construction Electrician

I was born and raised in Pottstown and have lived in the 26th District with my husband, Steve, for 36 years. We raised our family with three children in East Vincent Township, Spring City while I worked as a union electrician for 33 years. Our kids are all graduates of the Owen J. Roberts School District. Between the three of them, we have participated in basketball, track, school plays, video production, stage crew, and robotics.  Our oldest son, Clay, graduated from the University of Montana. Craig graduated from Temple University. Our daughter, Rose, graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Navigating my way through my teens and early 20’s, I tried college three times but that just wasn’t for me. Through one of my various jobs (as a secretary for Electrical Engineering during the construction of the Limerick Nuclear Power Plant) I learned that the IBEW Local 380 was taking applications to their apprenticeship program. After a four-year work and night-school  apprenticeship I began my career as a Journeyman Wireman.  After a merger of union locals,  I am now a proud member of IBEW Local 98.

As a foreman, shop steward, and the first woman elected to the Executive Board of my local union, I have been standing up for women’s rights and workers rights for nearly three decades. As a construction electrician, I have worked on building consensus and teamwork on complex projects throughout my career.
